Donation Helps

Your donation helps deliver 300 water
filters—each lasting up to 10 years—to
families in La Guajira, a drought-affected
region in Colombia.
The filters will provide clean drinking water
to 300 families across multiple zones.

Supports

This initiative supports indigenous Wayuu
communities and Venezuelan refugees
through the Hydrating La Guajira project,
led by the Barranquilla Hub in collaboration
with Waves For Water.

Water Source

In this region, water scarcity is severe,
malnutrition rates among children are high,
and 83.7% of rural communities rely on
contaminated water sources. The project
focuses not only on immediate relief, but
also on long-term sustainability and
community empowerment.

By addressing corruption related resource issues, rapid population growth, and the aftermath of recent flooding, Hydrating La Guajira aims to support a healthier and more resilient future.
