Crispy charred asparagus with caramelized garlic and lemon zest. Gluten free, dairy free.

Ingredients

  • asparagus bunch, washed and trimmed
  • olive oil
  • tbsp water
  • minced garlic cloves
  • lemon
  • pinch of flaky sea salt

Instructions

  • Using a lidded cast iron, add asparagus, 1 tablespoon olive oil and water
  • Cover with lid and cook over medium high heat for 2-3 minutes
  • Remove lid
  • Add garlic and remaining tablespoon of olive oil
  • Cook on medium heat uncovered for 2-3 additional minutes until charred and crispy
  • Finish with lemon juice
  • Garnish with lemon zest and sea salt
