  • 0.5 lbs of wild salmon (cut into 4 8oz filets, skin on)
  • 0.5 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Sea Salt
  • Lemon


  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive in a cast iron skillet on high to medium heat
  • While your pan is heating up, pat dry your salmon thoroughly with a paper towel
  • Salt the salmon thoroughly with a salt grinder (I never measure this but id say 1/4 tsp per filet)
  • Add your salmon to the skillet FLESH SIDE DOWN
  • Sear for 5-6 minutes without moving the filets
  • Flip the filets and transfer your skillet directly to the oven on broil
  • Finish in the oven for 5 minutes
  • The skins will be very easy to remove once cooked. I just peel it off with tongs.
